Lotto: spread across number groups

Spread 6 picks across the number groups, at most 2 per group, taking the most frequent numbers in each group over the last 100 draws. Groups used: 1–9: 4 · 10–19: 10 · 20–29: 22 · 30–39: 32 · 40–49: 40 · 50–52: 51.

1. Group the numbers by tens.
2. Take the most frequent numbers in each group over the last 100 draws.
3. Visit the groups in turn, never taking more than two from one group.

Limits: Spreading numbers out makes a line look balanced. It does not make it more likely to be drawn.

Replayed over the last 100 draws, this strategy averaged 0.61 hits a draw. Random numbers average 0.69.
